Crumbling State of House Probably Some Sort of Metaphor
Last summer, the swaying and creaking deck brought attention to the crumbling state of the house, forcing many to question whether the house's rapidly deteriorating exterior, cracked drywall, and out-of-square door frames could perhaps be a metaphor for something.
The group conducted a full investigation into the house's plumbing, foundation, framing, fixtures, and deck, and gave the house an overall grade of 'D' for its upkeep. Unfortunately, however, the commission was unable to determine what, if anything, the structure's complete and utter failure in every category measured might mean in a larger sense.
‘We’ve raised complaints for years,’ reported Daniel Zender and Kyle Tull.
'Everywhere you turn you see improperly maintained window seals, structurally deficient deck posts — not to mention the dripping faucets and running toilets,' sources reported. 'Is there an underlying message here? There are so many layers, and each one so subtle and nuanced, that I'm hesitant to make any kind of blanket statement about what this means for the greater weekend trip.’
'The overstretched and increasingly stressed structure might symbolize something important,' sources added. 'But what?'
