Reminders to Register for Manzanita Becoming Increasingly More Threatening
Noting that their friend’s word choice and demeanor had grown steadily more hostile in recent weeks, those invited to the upcoming weekend trip told reporters that Bryan Leslie's reminders for the impending registration deadline were becoming increasingly threatening.
'At first, he used to just send a few emails casually reminding everyone to get their name in by June 1st, but now I’m getting texts almost every day — and he left me a voicemail too,' said a defiant Ben Brajcich, noting that the host’s entreaty for all remaining holdouts to 'sign up for Manzanita as soon as you can' soon became a command punctuated by an ever-lengthening trail of exclamation points and is now being preceded with the phrase 'you’d better.'
'This morning I woke up to a text sent at 2 A.M. saying that if I submitted my registration last minute, he would know. Oh, God, he just sent another one in all caps.'
At press time, sources confirmed Leslie had received several regrets from friends explaining that, unfortunately, something had come up and they wouldn’t be able to make it this year ... in addition to being fed up with his shit.
