Nick Lamb Surprised By How Much Of Trip Is Whining

Manzanita 2020 Expressing disappointment over the amount of griping the trip required, Nick Lamb was reportedly surprised to discover how much of the trip was just whining.

‘I assumed when I accepted the invitation that Manzanita would be more drinking games and hanging out, but in reality, each day of the trip really just consists of bitching and moaning,’ said the generally down-for-whatever Lamb, explaining that he didn’t expect to spend long hours complaining about nearly every aspect of the weekend.

Keeping his voice down as Gabe Rucker approached, Lamb went on to express a feeling of culture shock while interacting with the class of 2009 Zags who were able to maintain a constant state of grousing. ‘I guess they’ve been doing this for years, so who am I to judge?’

‘I was looking forward to a nice change of pace during a long weekend at the beach, but I wasn’t ready for the repeated fussing about the inconveniences of being away for a weekend at the beach,’ Lamb told reporters, adding that the action packed three-day itinerary includes cursing unpredictable weather and bemoaning everything from a lack of desired pizza toppings to scratchy t-shirt fabric to terrible sleep from drunkenly staying up until 2:00 AM.

Trip Hours by Activity

‘I guess it’s actually quite impressive to watch the ‘09 guys get together, crack open a few cold ones, and complain every waking second over how annoying it is to take your shoes off before coming into the house, lament golf teams being unfair, or wail about having to wake up to do morning activities. This really seems like a special tradition for them each summer.’

‘Don’t get me wrong, there’s also some crying about circumstances in the group’s personal lives, but the trip is primarily grumbling about grievances with the trip itself… I also didn’t realize there would be so much walking. My feet hurt. See, there I go again. Now I’m doing it!’

At press time, Lamb was casually observing as the group launched into 20 minutes of collective outrage about the how bad traffic would be on the return trip home.
