Manzanita Running Dangerously Low on Storylines
As Manzanita kicks off another year of episodic and ultimately pointless coverage, it is becoming clear that there is a shortage of viable storylines.
The outlet that once provided visceral, emotionally charged drama, larger-than-life heroes and villains, and compelling subplots carefully woven throughout its story arc is simply out of gas.
'The reporting stayed fresh and unpredictable for a long time, and gave us a lot of memorable moments, but lately it has resorted to lazy narratives and mundane writing,' broods Daniel Zender. 'It has simply run its course.'
Zender isn't alone. Experts suggest that recent posts are simply not resonating with the group, and Sam Hoffman points to the lack of serviceable story lines about himself.
Where Manzanita goes from here has yet to be seen, but all signs point toward another round of forced characterizations and tired commentary.
